Downing Celebrates Student Achievement at We CAN and Portrait of Success Ceremonies
On Feb. 27, Maurice W. Downing Primary School proudly hosted its We CAN and Portrait of Success Award ceremonies!
Our K-2 students were recognized for their enthusiasm for learning and for embodying the Portrait attribute of being Culturally Responsive. It was a beautiful celebration of character, curiosity and community.
The festive assemblies also featured a special performance of “This Little Light of Mine” by four talented first grade soloists. Their confidence and joy truly lit up the room!
